Have you ever tried to run away from home? I never did, but I contemplated it several times. I wonder how far I would have made it? My guess is that I would have ended up at the home of one of my friends a few blocks away. They would have fed me, called my parents, and sent me back… As we look at the story of the Prodigal Son, we must realize the Father had two sons that “ran away” – one left for the far country and the other never fully understand where he was. It is always important for us to recognize whose we are and live in the blessing of where we are.
