Lights of Tejas is a family-oriented Christmas light festival with fun games, activities, a Christmas light show, food, and over 1 million lights. If your family is looking for a way to give back this Christmas season, we'd love to have you join us as we volunteer at Lights of Tejas!
Volunteers for Lights of Tejas receive a free supper, a special viewing of the Indoor Light Show, and are welcome to stay the night for free. Lodging is separate male and female bunkhouses and they also offer room upgrades for $70.00 per private room (one room typically sleeps 4-6). Free breakfast for those that spend the night is provided in the Dining Hall between 8:00am-10:00am.
Volunteers should arrive around 3:00 pm or before and then be in the Chapel at 4:00 pm for a short meeting. We will eat supper following the meeting, and then everyone will report to their assigned stations. You will serve at your station from 5:00-10:00 pm. Tejas staff will be supervising and walking around the entire event, so no worries if you need something. On Saturday, we will eat breakfast, fellowship with our group and leave around 12:30 pm.
